The "Alpha Hornet" is the latest in the line of personal self-defense
products by Alpha Innovations LLC.
We have informally titled this a "kubaton on steroids."
Designed in conjunction with Officer Myron Gaudet.
Formerly, Myron was hired by the United Nations as the Head of
Defensive Tactics, Kosovo Police Training School.
He is well versed in Police defensive tactics as well as martial arts
and his input was invaluable in arriving at the final design.
This product was designed with law enforcement in mind. It can be used
for thumb side strikes, hammer fist strikes and open hand strikes.
It is not recommended for straight punches. The protrusions on
the ends are for joint locks and pressure point compliance and the
contoured bottom works very well for grappling techniques.
With proper training, the hornet allows for full dexterity of the hands
and fingers in multiple ranges of close combat. This allows for the
simultaneous deployment of other equipment or options, helping to
eliminate vulnerable transition time.
This is an incredibly effective tool for Law Enforcement and civilians alike.
The Hornet is made from the same incredibly rigid reinforced polymer
as our other great products.
Our Alpha Hornet measures 1/4" thick x 1-3/4" wide x 6-1/2" long and it
has a textured matte finish that further aids in gripping.

It represents a significant departure from industry-standard pocket clips.
Rather than bolting directly to the side of a knife, the new In-Line clip
easily retracts between the liners of the pocket knife—
effectively disappearing into the ‘frame’ of the knife when not in use.
This addresses the two main objections expressed by knife users
concerning pocket clips, namely the visual imposition of a pocket
clip that is often rudely bolted to the side of a knife and the
discomfort caused by a bolt-on clip when the knife is in use.
Additionally, the In-Line Pocket Clip introduces a new approach to
clipping a folding knife into a pocket or waistband.
This new method offers several advantages ....
A traditional bolt-on clip secures the knife into a pocket by pinching a
very small swatch of fabric to the wide, flat side of the knife handle.
The In-Line Pocket Clip, provides superior security by causing
the fabric of a pocket edge or waistband to form two right-angle bends
as the knife is worn, pressed against the body by the clothing.
This dramatically reduces a knife’s propensity to fall out of a normal-fitting
pants pocket while the owner is sitting or running compared
with conventional designs.
Also, because of it’s novel location, the new In-Line Pocket Clip reduces
the likelihood of catching on or scratching objects that the user
might lean on or brush against such as a car door or expensive furniture.
Rather than exposing a metal surface directly outward
(perpendicular to the user) as with conventional pocket clips, the In-Line Pocket Clip
(when Caswell Knives 2007 deployed in a pocket)
positions the metal clip out of harms way, exposing only
fabric directly outward.
In addition, the In-Line Pocket Clip is truly ambidextrous.
From either pocket, the knife can be positioned with equal ease so that the

Inyoni is the Zulu word for “bird” and the slim blade works easily with

One Piece Knives. Still living in South Africa, Eddie and his wife
Caroline, have provided fine service to deliver the best blanks at the

Eddie and Caroline want to retire--Ed wants to buy a boat again and go

While it’s physically impossible for any folding knife to ever match the strength and rigidity of a fixed blade, we believe our Pocket Bushman, with its new patent pending lock, is close to hitting the mark. The blade is long and wide with a short, sharp, clip point for usefulness and versatility. And it’s hollow ground from top to bottom with just enough belly to be useful for all sorts of tasks.
For the handle, we used the mono block construction method famously used in the French Douk Douk line of knives. There are several advantages to using the mono block. It’s simple to mass-produce, and, since there are no liners, handle scales or back spacers, the end result is quite affordable. A single sheet of stainless steel is folded in half to form a housing for the closed blade, as well as supplying the enormous strength and rigidity required to compliment our Ram Safe™ lock.
Andrew Demko designed the Ram Safe™ lock to work in tandem with the mono block handle. It features a unique, self adjusting ram that moves forward as the knife is opened and wedges itself tightly between the tang cut away we call the “shelf” and the “U” shaped “roof” of the handle. It’s powered by a strong compression spring that urges the ram forward and makes for an incredibly strong lock up. Positive pressure on the lock generated by heavy cutting or chopping strokes is distributed through the blade, then the blade tang shoulder and finally directly into the mono block handle that acts like a giant unbreakable stop pin.
Negative pressure from sticking, digging or prying with the point is directed in a different direction through the blade to the blade tang shelf and then to the ram which is squeezed between the shelf and the “U” shaped roof of the handle.
Negative pressure easily defeats the vast majority of lock mechanisms. The only way the Ram Safe™ lock can be overcome is if the blade breaks or if the pivot pin is sheared off. Two situations that are highly improbable.

This folding hunter is a revival of one introduced about 40 years ago by
Grohmann Knives and patterned after the original D. H. Russell Canadian Belt Knife.
This design with the "Wasp Waist" swept the World in the late 1950s.
It was copied by at least three makers in Europe and possibly
two in this country.
The lock seems much better fitted than that in the original version.

The Creditor II is John Kubasek's new patented credit card size folding
knife. The 2-7/8" blade is a laminate of D2 tool steel, Rockwell
hardness 59-60, and carbon fiber. The handle is 6AL4V
titanium with his "Tab Lock" feature.
There is a small piece of carbon fiber attached to the rear of the handle that
serves two purposes: it acts as a protector for the tip of the knife

* Operation
Tactical activation: partially depress the tailcap switch for momentary
activation, release and the light will be turned off.
Constant activation: Fully depress the tailcap switch to "click on"
position and release for constant light, which will be ON until you fully
depress the tailcap switch again to the "click off" position, the light is
turned off.
Safety Lock: to prevent accidental light activation, users should rotate
the tailcap loose for a full turn in counter-clockwise direction to enter
safety lock status. The light will not be turned on under this mode even
if users depress the tailcap switch.
* Selecting Output
When the light is turned on, rotate the SmartRing near the light bezel.
The brightness will change. Rotate the smart ring in the counter-clockwise
direction and the brightness will increase step by step till the Max.
Rotate the smart ring in the clockwise direction and the brightness will
decrease step by step until the Min.
The SR3 has 8 levels of brightness from Min to Max:
5 Lumens, 10 Lumens, 20 Lumens, 40 Lumens, 60 Lumens, 120 Lumens,
160 Lumens, 220 Lumens. When the brightness
decreases, the runtime of the light increases. Using one single CR123
battery, the light can sustain continuous use for up to 35 hours at Min
and 50 minutes at Max.
* Custom Strobe Mode
By rotating the smart ring, users can set a strobe mode which is a
hidden function in SR 3, according to own using habits and different
circumstances. When strobe mode is needed, firstly turn on the
flashlight, and rotate the smart ring in counter-clockwise direction till
the end of the turn (the default Max mode of the light). After that,
swiftly rotate the smart ring to the other end of the turn (the default Min
mode of the light) and rotate it back to the other side instantly (this
operation should be performed within 2 seconds.)
If the operation performed correctly, the hidden Strobe mode in SR3
will be activated, and the light will have 7 levels of brightness and one
strobe: 5 Lumens, 10 Lumens, 20 Lumens, 50 Lumens, 90 Lumens, 150
Lumens, 220 Lumens, and Strobe. If users need to hide the strobe
mode again, repeat the above operation will do.
* Battery Replacement
When the battery is low, problems of low brightness may occur or users
may find it unable to control the brightness or turn on the light. Users
should turn off the light and insert a new battery. If you keep using the
low-voltage battery, there may be dangers of battery leakage or even
explosion (with rechargeable Li-ion batteries without safety circuits).
* Maintenance
Twice a year clean the threads with a clean cloth and apply thin coat of
silicon-based lubricant to them.
NOTE: DO NOT use petroleum-based lubricant on the waterproof O-rings,
